It's kind of hard starting out on the path of creating a site to capture all the information about what I've been doing and what interests me. this is mostly because I'm not really sure what a blog should contain or what information about the projects I should add or what interests other readers.
Also whilst of done loads of programming it's a little hard to work out what to have on the site and what to leave out. Worst of all is adding my details to the site with the intention of letting people contact me and ending up with 1000's of spam emails every day. So this is going to be a work in progress for some time I suspect.
All I can ask is that you check the site out from time to time as I'd like to cover projects I have in progress or have worked on as well as sports I like. As an idea of what hopefully is comming up:
Projects
- Search - a couple of friends and I have worked on a search engine aimed at the stock photography market. The company we were doing the work for no longer exists so the project became ours
- Every Metric - this is something lots of effort has gone into but is still at an early stage. Basically it will be a message capture, reporting and measurementengine coupled with a business rules engine
- Navigation on Linux - trying to write a navigation system for boats using linux as an embedded OS
- Hull design - bit of a trend here... I like sailing so I've been playing with code to create optimised hull designs
